But when it comes to actually making a purchase, the reality of purchasing power and ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜-๐˜๐—ผ-๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜†๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€ kicks in.

๐ŸŒ The largest share of the Indian passenger car market goes to ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ถ ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐˜‡๐˜‚๐—ธ๐—ถ, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker Suzuki. It began as a joint venture between Maruti Udyog Ltd. of India and Suzuki of Japan in the 1980s. This long-standing partnership has built a ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ among Indian buyers, which continues to pay off. Add to that the fact that Maruti Suzuki offers models ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€.

๐Ÿ’ญ In my opinion, German OEMs will need to continue focusing on the ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜‚๐—บ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ to profit from the ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ desiring SUVs and larger cars, but with deeper localization and new models.
