🇮🇳🇩🇪 When I came to Germany as a student in 2007, the number of Indian students here was around 3,000. Eighteen years later, it’s now 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 and forecasted to exceed 100,000 by 2030.

🎓 The number of English-language programs has steadily increased, and German universities are now 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮. If the students decide to stay in Germany after completing their studies, they become 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲.

💭 In my opinion, due to stricter visa situations in countries like the USA, UK, and Australia, Germany is becoming a 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 for Indian students. However, the focus should not only be on graduate programs, but also on 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀, which is picking up very quickly as well. With this, Germany can address the 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, who are necessary for sustained economic growth.
