🇮🇳🇩🇪 More reflections from my 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻 visit: while walking in front of the Federal Chancellery few days ago, I recalled the 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮-𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗜𝗚𝗖), held in October 2024 in New Delhi, co-chaired by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Germany’s former Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

🤝 Beyond the many topics on economic, defence, and strategic cooperation, one specific paragraph (Nr. 50) 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽𝘀, highlighting how India’s market and talent can support German companies in their growth journey (Link in the comments). I believe this is 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆’𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮, gaining not only access to the market but also to talent. In turn, this could also strengthen the Mittelstand back in Germany itself.
