๐ย I got some requests to write about ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐, because it has a huge impact on collaboration between international teams (thanks, Oliver Bรผhrer, for the inspiration)
๐คย During my MBA at Kempten Business School, I studiedย ๐๐ผ๐ณ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒโ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฑ๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, and in this post, I want to highlight how India and Germany differ across these dimensions and why these matters in practice. However, it is important to note:ย ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐พ๐๐ฒ, and people can deviate significantly from national cultural norms. Hofstedeโs framework should therefore be seen as ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐, not a rigid rulebook.
Have you experienced that little or no consideration of cultural differences has created risks in your projects?
๐ขย If you find the posts valuable, please ๐๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ, and/or ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ย to spread the word.
๐ย I would schedule my posts for ๐ง๐ต๐๐ฟ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ (๐๐๐ง), though the timing may occasionally vary.
